HELPING OUR VETERANS
The Sad Truth (Details on our Veterans Relief Program at the bottom of this page)
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) estimates that 39,471 Veterans are homeless on any given night. Background & Statistics – National Coalition for Homeless Veterans nchv.org/index.php/news/media/background_and_statistics/
On Average, 20 American Heroes take their lives everyday suffering from PTSD.
We are currently raising funds to purchase 107 acres of land in the North West quadrant of Palm Beach County Florida to build our first all inclusive housing community for homeless and disabled Veterans.
CASA PALM BEACH HOUSING FOR OUR HOMELESS VETERANS
CASA PALM BEACH
Casa Palm Beach will be a very large all-inclusive housing community almost like a City for Homeless and Disabled Veterans. The development will be comprised of 4 Quadrants:
The plan is to bring the Biggest and Best of American Corporations in as the Charity’s Anchor Sponsors. As a Sponsor these Corporations will build a location in Casa Palm Beach that will provide goods and services to the Veterans and the local community for profit. This will also provide employment opportunities for the Veterans that are capable of working.
The ideal sponsors to have a location within Casa Palm Beach would be a Super Center for Groceries, Medicine, house hold items and apparel, Fast Food, Multi Restaurant Management Company, Coffee Shop, Health Club, and any other everyday consumer based business that supplies good and services.
The plan is to have a national Health Club as one of the Sponsors listed above and to create intramural sporting events for all the Veterans capable of playing athletics.
One Bedroom Housing Units- will be built to house the Homeless and Disabled Veterans that have no families living with them. Each Unit will have a Golf Cart and a Bike for the Veterans to get around the large 107 acre community.
Two to Three Bedroom Housing Units- for Veterans that have families and need our support. The Units will also have Golf Carts and Bikes and there will be transportation provided for the Children to get to and from School.
Dog Training Facility
Doggie Paradise– Will be a large Parcel of Land with a Big Barn. Help Americans Inc. will rescue Dogs that are locked in cages in Shelters across America. Doggie Paradise will have a Veterinary Clinic with Dog Trainers that will work with Veterans teaching the Dogs to become Service Dogs for the Veterans and Disable Americans Nationwide. Help Americans will work with other well known Charities specializing in helping Dogs to help with the funding of Doggie Paradise.
Help Americans Inc. will work with the Veterans Administration and other Charitable Organizations that specialize in helping Veterans to find Veterans across America that need Housing and bring them to Casa Palm Beach to live worry free.
Help Americans Inc. will coordinate with the Veterans Administration to get VA approved professional Counselors and Medical Services on sight at Casa Palm Beach.
Our all-inclusive housing community will provide food, clothing, and shelter with professional on-sight counselling in Individual and Group Settings.
HELP AMERICANS INC. is committed to helping our Veterans by providing financial assistance for life altering events, All-inclusive Housing Communities for our Homeless and Disabled Veterans and rescued dogs, and Scholarships and Grants for higher education. These programs are funded by Grants and Donations. We have a national Grant Writer working diligently to fund all of these worthy programs. Help Americans Inc. developed a VIP Program that brings corporate sponsors and private sponsors together to fund our Veterans Relief Programs.
Help Americans Inc. will begin the Veterans Relief Programs in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. As we obtain grants and donations for this program, It is our mission to expand this core program County by County, State by State until we are able to help all Veterans in need.
Help Americans Inc. is proud to be working with the Salvation Army Center of Hope and the Faith, Hope, and Love Charity’s Forward March Program, HVRP. The Forward March Program, funded by Federal Grants, help Homeless Veterans transition into Employment as the first step back to society.
Help Americans Inc. would like to give a special Thank You to Jeff Johnson the Manager of Home Depot located at 6800 Okeechobee Blvd in West Palm Beach, Florida for their Continued support.
Housing for our Homeless Veterans and their Rescued Dogs
It is heartbreaking to see our heroes laying in an alley somewhere homeless, hungry, and all alone or disabled from his time served protecting our liberties.
The biggest endeavor Help Americans Inc. will embark on is building all-inclusive housing communities for our Homeless and Disabled Veterans in close proximity to Veterans Administration Hospitals across the Country.
This program will begin in Palm Beach County and as Donations and Grants come in we will begin our search for land to begin the first housing project. It is our mission to expand this core program County by County, State by State until we are able to help all Homeless and Disabled Veterans in need.
The Housing Community will be designed to give our Veterans a sense of Home. Help Americans Inc.’s Grant Writer has her own foundation that rescues dogs all across America. The plan is to build 1 bedroom track homes where the Veteran can live and have a rescue dog as their pet. Each community will have a Mess Hall, Gym, Chapel, Psychological services and other amenities to make their lives as pleasant as possible. These Veterans are our Heroes and deserve all this and much more.
In each housing community we build there will be a large section of land allocated for dogs that are at shelters locked in a cage waiting to die. Our goal is to bring these poor animals to paradise where they have the freedom to run around and play with other dogs. I came up with this concept one day at the dog park watching how much joy my dog had running around free playing with other dogs. Each community will have a dog trainer to help certify the dogs as service dogs for the Veterans, Americans with Disabilities such as blindness, or to people who want a trained Dog as a pet. These dogs will never see a cage at Doggie Paradise!!!
The Veterans Living in Casa Palm Beach able to work will help the Trainers at Doggie Paradise to help train the dogs to be service dogs. This will give the Veterans a sense of purpose as they work on their ailments with the professional services offered on premise.
8 Million Adults have Post Traumatic stress disorder PTSD!
Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can occur after you have been through a trauma. A trauma is a shocking and dangerous event that you see or that happens to you. During this type of event,
you think that your life or others’ lives are in danger.
It is not a sign of weakness. A number of factors can increase the chance that someone will develop PTSD, many of which are not under that person’s control. For example, if you were directly exposed to the trauma or injured, you are more likely to develop PTSD.
When you are in the military, you may see combat. You may have been on missions that exposed you to horrible and life-threatening experiences. These types of events can lead to PTSD.
Gulf War: (Desert Storm): 12 out of every 100 Gulf War Veterans (or 12%) have PTSD in a given year.
Vietnam War: 15 out of every 100 Vietnam Veterans (or 15%) were currently diagnosed with PTSD at the time of the most recent study in the late 1980s, the National Vietnam Veterans Readjustment Study (NVVRS). It is estimated that about 30 out of every 100 (or 30%) of Vietnam Veterans have had PTSD in their lifetime.
The factors include what you do in the war, the politics around the war, where the war is fought, and the type of enemy you face. PTSD in the military can also be military sexual trauma (MST).
Our Veterans communities will have onsite Professional Services to help our Veterans suffering from PTSD.
Temporary Financial Relief
As with many Americans across the country there will be times when a US Veteran, or God forbid the family of a US Veteran that died while serving our country, experiences financial difficulty due to a life altering event.
Help Americans Inc. will set up a Trust Account through Grants and Donations to fund these life altering events. The nonprofit does not have an unlimited amount of resources to fund this program and will set up a Veterans Relief Board of Directors and will work with the other non profits set up to help our Veterans so we can help as many Veterans as we can. This program is top priority for our national grant Writer.
Tammy Stewart, an 18 plus year Educator, serves on our Board as the Director of Education. As Grants and Donations come in, Help Americans Inc. will set up a scholarship program for Veterans and their families for higher Education. Tammy Stewart will over see this program.
We are going to have a wall at the entrance of each of the housing Communities we build displaying our Corporate and Private Donors.
